Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 67 Likes: 1 | Has anyone had an ultrasound as part of the monitoring of a residual node post chemo/radiation? I did a search of the site and did not get a clear answer if this common.

Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 3,267 Likes: 1 | It's used sometimes, maybe in conjunction with other exams and tests depending on location and what they're looking for. Mine were used when doing a FNAB, which I had about 8 of them, checking the stomach/kidney/liver after pains or out if range test results, legs for DVT, and checking the carotid arteries where it was called a Doppler.
