We just completed our fourth week of Cisplatin and IMRT. Still standing but it has been a rough road so far. Last treatment is set to be April 17 unless he has a treatment interruption. We are getting better at managing side effects so I'm feeling more optimistic we might make it. He's had some problems with aspirating at night so we've ordered the Medcline Sleep System. Just wondering if anyone else has used it.

You're in the very best place to get info and support to help both you and your husband get thru treatments and recovery. Read both here and on the main OCF site to educate yourself about oral cancer so you can become a strong advocate for your husband.
I havent heard of the sleep system you mentioned. Does your husband use a feeding tube? If so then he needs to sleep on an incline or yes, aspiration can become a big problem. I have just raised the head of my bed a few inches (put 2 bricks each side under the legs of the top of my bedframe) and used 3 pillows as well.
Feel free to ask questions. We also have a great search function (white box near the top right of any page) where you will instantly find answers to many questions. Dont forget to take good care of you too, caregiving can be a tough job.
Best wishes!

Interesting also is that he said sleeping on the left side of the body can reduce acid reflux too, which product helps with. Personally, I have an electric incline bed for years, and take omeprazole for Barrett's Esophagus, a severe form of acid reflux or GERD. I no longer sleep on my side since a recent surgery with a titanium chest plate, and often sleep on a recliner that I'm more confirrcje with. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/...ed-body-pillow-prevent-your-acid-reflux/Hope this helps
