Welcome to OCF! Im very sorry your brother is sick! It must be very difficult to know he is so far away.

I suggest finding a comprehensive cancer center (CCC). These are the countries top facilities with the best outcomes for OC patients. Time can be a big factor with recurrences, it can take weeks to get an appointment with one of the CCC specialists.

Here is a list of facilities you may find helpful. Im sorry, I do not know specific physicians to contact. There are different physician referral sites and insurance companies may have lists of doctors you may use.

Best wishes!

In the USA, its unlikely you will find a physician who will help if they do not have the patient in front of them. The doctor would need to run tests and give a full exam after asking your brother many questions. Any diagnosis without those steps would open up physicians and/or hospitals to lawsuits. We also have strict privacy laws that prevent a medical professional or treatment facility and its staff from discussing a patients medical history with anyone without specific signed forms on file.

Oral cancer is eliminated thru either surgery or radiation with or without chemo. By itself, chemo is used for palliative purposes. Chemo can shrink a tumor but will not completely eliminate it. Some patients with recurrences after previously treated with radiation can have radiation again. That is done on a case by case basis. The second round of rads is usually a lighter dose.

Im sorry but I do not know more about how patients from other countries can come to the US for medical treatment. Best wishes with everything.

Thanks Christine for info. I have got patient medical reports and other information. What we are looking for is recommendation of possible treatments in this stage and type of cancer. If we know what is the best treatment available in this current condition then we can follow same recommendation.

Anyways thanks for all your help and wishes.

Best Wishes!!

Anupal, some CCC's have an international department (e.g. M. D. ANderson). You can try looking up their website to see what services they provide and how they choose their international patients. It is important to know that an international patient will be expected to pay for everything out of pocket. It can be a hefty bill. I don't think they will recommend any kind of treatment just by looking at the reports you have.

John Hopkins has a remote medical second opinion program, but it has to be authorized by a licensed physician here in the states who they'll work with for treatment recommendations. It's about $1,000 USD. Maybe there are exceptions internationally, and as mentioned, some CCC's have an international department like MD Anderson, and Mt. Sinai in NYC has one for otolaryngology, possibly other top rated hospitals do too.

Good luck
