As said in the subject, I'm a new member of the forum (from Spain!), so the language issue makes difficult to explain so many things I would like to share with you...

In any case, I know I've found the best place to get information and support, and I thank you all in advance.

My sister (51 years old) will have surgery next October 11 (difficult to explain technical aspects)and I'll keep reading your posts in order to have a better idea of the process and give her my best help.

And the my fisrt question: is it possible to get automaticalle by email all the posts? Possibly it is explained somewhere but I have not been able to find it smile.

Best regards

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to learn that your sister needs surgery. I hope everything goes well for her. If you could say a bit more about her condition, the members of the forum may be able to Give you more specific information.

As far as I know, it is not possible to get all the posts the email. You will have to check in to read the new posts.

Thank you for responding and your willingness to help.

I'm already getting a lot of good information from the website and the posts, but as soon as I'll need something more specific I will summarize and translate the main information about my sister condition in order to let you know about it, and facilitate your answers.

Thank you very much

Arantza: It is muy importante that your sister is treated by cancer specialists, and I see that M.D. Anderson has a cancer center in Madrid. Anderson is one of the top 5 U.S. cancer centers.
Most doctors will treat cancer, but few doctors specialize only in cancer. Oral cancer represents a small percent of cancers so a doctor with experience in "cancer" most likely will not be an expert in all the little differences in oral cancer.

We wish you and your hermana the best of luck. TLC

Thank you for your advice but don't worry about it: my sister is treated by specialists, and it's quite a competent team smile .

The health system is very different in the US and Spain, so some of your particularities don't apply here, but it's quite difficult to explain all the differences.

Thank you for your Spanish words!

De nada. It is great that she has specialists, and the fact that she does tells me that the most important decision has already been made.

(Spain brings back memories of youth when I traveled all around your country 51 years ago). TLC
