My husband has mets to lung two spots on left lobe.
He has completed two treatments of Keytruda Merck's immunotherapy drug. He is eating jello and pudding for the first time in months. G tube inserted after 70 lb weight loss in early August 2016. Feeding tube has saved his life.


Caregiver to hubby, 63 yr old Nonsmoker nondrinker extremely active & physically fit. Had sore throat.
Diagnosed Jan.2016
Oropharnagyl Stage 4 HPV mts neck,lung&chest nodes.
Primary left tonsil
Incurable
3 rounds Aggressive Chemo(March16- May'16)
Chemo intolerable but responded
3 weeks at Hippocrates Health Inst
Peg inserted Aug. 5, 2016 Liquid Hope(100% Organic) Hydration & Feed,unable to swallow
Lost 70 lbs now 130 lbs. 6' tall
2 Immunotherapy trmt started - Keytruda every 3 wks

Welcome to the forum. It is amazing how much progress immunotherapy has made in cancer treatment over the last couple of years. My husband was in a phase 1 immunotherapy trial back in 2013. It seems that your husband is doing really well. To be able to swallow, I believe, makes a lot of difference to how the patient feels. John had a feeding tube for two years before he had his esophagus opened by a new procedure.

I wish things continue to improve for Mike. Please keep us posted.

Wife to John,dx 10/2012, BOT, HPV+, T3N2MO, RAD 70 gy,Cisplatinx2 , PEG in Dec 6, 2012, dx dvt in both legs after second chemo session, Apr 03/13 NED, July 2013 met to lungs, Phase 1 immunotherapy trial Jan 18/14 to July/14. Taxol/carboplatin July/14. Esophagus re-opened Oct 14. PEG out April 8, 2015. Phase 2 trial of Selinexor April to July 2015. At peace Jan 15, 2016.
