Joined: Mar 2016 Posts: 1 | I am here on behalf of my dad. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 oropharyngeal cancer. He did his radio sessions but tumour kept growing. His throat got fully blocked and he has feeding tube. Now struggling with nutrition, formulas giving him diarrhea. Take some time to read thru posts and also on the main OCF site to help learn about the disease and everything that goes along with treatments. This will help make you a strong advocate for your father.
There are hundreds o different formulas available with a prescription. I would suggest asking to try a few different ones to help with the diarrhea, preferably one with fiber. Your fathers formula probably doesnt have much fiber in it. Make sure you let the physician know about the diarrhea as it could be caused by many other things. Sometimes slowing down how the formula is delivered helps with being better able to digest it.
