I was told that this is the nerves trying to regenerate. This last week, my tongue is now on fire on the cancer side. It is sore again like I just finished radiation. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

It helps a lot for her.
But I would certainly contact your RO and report this increased pain. Even though the RAD side effects can last a long time its best to have it checked out.
Good Luck Heidi

It cant hurt, and this is a change so you should see your doc. Its always better to err on the side of caution. Gabapention is a prescription medication that works with nerve pain which it sounds like you are going thru. Nerve pain can hurt something fierce!
Sweetpe, Biotene has changed their formulas so what is on the shelves right now may not work as effectively as it had in the past.
