Jhonny Lion,

I'm sorry for your level of worry but I have to ask you if you've been to the doctor with these concerns. Before you worry about how bad treatment can be, you need to confirm it's even relevant. Does this make sense?

I'm not sure who prescribed the antidepressants but please consider speaking to them as well. If your anxiety level is high, maybe your medication needs to be addressed. I, personally, don't think at your age you should let things go from a sore to fear of a disfiguring surgery. There are many steps between the two and you need to pursue these sores with medical professionals as soon as you can.

I don't think it is cancer but I'm not a medical doctor. If it is, just another reason to get to a doctor soon.

Hang in there, young man. I'm certainly hoping it's nothing. Please let us know what your doctor says.
Hello im a 16 year old male in high school and I suffer from deppresion...
I would speak with my parents if I was you and get that under control first. The rest will play out over time but this won't just fix itself. If you find out you have cancer, depression and anxiety will ramp up like nothing you've experienced. P
Stay off the Internet and don't look at diseases until you've seen the doctor.
This could be a million things but it will actually only be yes or no for cancer.

It could be anything. Hopefully its nothing serious. Glad to hear you are seeing the doc soon. Please confide in your parents everything you have expressed here. Im sure they will be able to help you. At a young age, you should work on trying to get the anxiety under control. Your parents should be able to help get you to a therapist, maybe even meds for a while.

Good luck!!!

Relax!!! You are getting way ahead of yourself!!! Too many what if's.

As recommended previously, talk everything you have discussed here over with your parents. They are who will get you into see a doctor. Its extremely rare for a 16 year old to have oral cancer. Lets hope this is nothing serious. Until you know for certain, stay very busy doing positive things, it will help pass the time.
