Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 56 | As you know, I've had severe nerve pain, burning, crawling, prickling - in the side of the neck dissection: ear, neck and shoulder.
It's been horrible and wasn't helped by either Morphine or Tramadol.
Long story short - I started Pregabalin 3 days ago, and my god, it helped almost immediately! It stops the burning soon after taking it, and the relief lasts about 5 hours!
I'm on quite a low, introductory dose, which is to increase next week.
I can honestly say, this drug has been such an incredible relief! It's nice to have some good news, isn't it!

Jun 14 *now* PEG out. Have lost 98 lbs in 1 yr. Anorexia. Dysphagia, liquids only. Dysphasia. Fatigue.

Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 3,267 Likes: 1 | It's also called Lyrica. Glad it helped you. It somewhat helps me, but the numbness in my legs, hands is there 24/7. I was prescribed to take it 3x a day, but I only take it in the evening or earlier, if I walked around, which isn't far anyway, and makes me unbalanced. Prior to that I used Gabapentin aka Neurontin, which some insurances usually covers instead of Lyrica.
