So Chris has been in the hospital since last Thursday with hyponatremia (low sodium). Rads and chemo suspended since then. So far the docs haven't managed to keep his sodium up through either water restriction or salt tablets.

Anyone have experience with this?

Nell

Does he have issues with his thyroid? Or heart? Kidneys? what are they attributing it to? hope they get him sorted out and see what's causing it. Is he getting chemo? Maybe it's causing bladder issues? Or the rads has messed with his thyroid - which may or may not have already been faulty...

This sucks. hugs

Well, he got out yesterday evening and sounds much more lucid over the phone. I'm going to see him this afternoon. Not sure they ever figured it out, but the numbers are good enough now so onward!

Thanks Cheryl.
