I would appreciate if someone has any advice around dealing with oral myasis (flies in oral cavity). I am aware that my motherinlaw in very advance stage. Just looking for information to deal effectvely.
Would myasis has any secondary complication to others in the family ( there is small boy in the home) i am worried about other's health.

Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,260 Likes: 3 | Wow... That's scary - she definitely needs to see a dr. And have the larvae removed area cleaned and packed. Being at home in India I can imagine the issues. Flies will lay eggs in any open wound so... If there are potential for others in the house to have open sores I would say it can present a problem.
She should realistically be in a hospital. Being at home during the end stage of cancer is fine, but there has to be proper care available to her. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable/painful this must be.
