I have a question I am currently one week into HBO treatment and the last two days my ribs on my back are killing me, I don't know if it is just being in one position for almost two hours, is the tech coming back to fast at the end of treatment or something wrong with my lungs. I have asthma but they said it would be ok. Please help has anyone ever had these symptoms?

Tell the doctor in charge of the HBOT unit. Mine was present in the room everyday, which was associated with wound management. The ache from lying in the tube for two hours seems plausible, but I'm no doctor or expert. I have periodic back problems in general, so I don't recall anything unusual, but last year, I thought I hurt my back, and side in the gym, and it turned out to be a kidney stone, so you never know. Good luck.

Your HBO nurse should be checking you before you go into the tank and again afterwards. Every week a HBO doc should be checking you as well. I would speak up on Monday and talk with the tech and ask if you are able to discuss it with the HBO doc prior to diving. You could have other problems that are being brought out by the HBO.

When I did HBO, after about a week of it I always felt great. I dont know exactly why but HBO always had a very healing effect on me from head to toe. It even cleared up my lower back arthritis problems.

Best wishes!

Yes I don't know what is going on but they did an xray of my lungs and CAT scan and they don't see anything, I now have some kind of virus, both my spouse and I are sick, but I started coughing and my back is killing me again. I used a heating pad last night and the pain seems to subside but after coughing its back again

Could it be muscle aches from coughing? I hope its nothing too serious. Check with the doc on Monday. Please let us know how you make out.

Wishing you all the best with everything.
