Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 144 | Nothing in the near future PaulB. My dual diagnosis with the cancer and aids has made treatment choices somewhat limited. My platelets are chronically low. I see my surgeon on the 18th and will find out more then. I am prepared for the worst. Not the first time a disease has put my life in peril. 
. Radio/Erbitex:(35/6.) .6/13 RSSC with met.to left neck.9/11/13 MND with left tonsil removal.9/18/13 margins failed, .Dx Terminal. 10/22/13 Dx.StageIII Lymphedema. Carboplatin/Taxol, cancer progression,WECF
3/14/2014 given 2 weeks, 3 maybe. All the veins in my head are slowly leakinging due to Ehlers Danlos syndrome. lucky thing is that my spinal fluid leaking out my nose is slowing the build up of pressure in my huge, huge head. you would not believe.

Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 3,267 Likes: 1 | Maybe ask about or see about it. Your treatment choices may be more than you think, but clinical trials may be limited in prior treatment, and with HIV. I have read that HIV patients can do chemoradiation treatment with no more adverse problems similar to non HIV. They do have more recurrences. I mention this because there is better outcome with radiation, rather than surgery alone, in recurrences that's why I'm having IORT, but had surgery alone also twice.

Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 144 | no the first round took a lot out of me, they say that it is to dangerous to have more Radiation. Erbitux is the type of chemo that I can withstand and yes it is a possibility that I will receive more Erbitux in the future. So there is that.
