Hello dear ones. Still happy to be posting in this forum. Dad is rounding year two of metastatic treatment and has just completed the cap/lap trial. Not only did he participate for 6 months longer than most on cap/lap, he is doing very well. He has two new small spots, one nuked with rads this week and the other just visible in a lymph, but its under control. QOL is also very good, and we are very thankful.

Now starts another (more aggressive) trial aimed at stunting tumor spread, ACE-041 http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01458392 . I've been reading about side effects but this trial is not well validated, does anyone know of it or can you direct me to experts that do? TIA!

Hi Caco:

Sorry I don't know anything about the trial your Dad is going to start soon, but I'm sure others will join in soon. Just wanted to say I like your "time" of post. Prayers and hope for a successful treatment for your Dad.

Nice to see you posting Cindy! Glad to hear how well your father is doing. He is a great guy!!!

Sorry but havent heard very much about individual clinical trials. Its rare that we hear anything about them unless someone posts like you did. Never know, maybe another OCF member is participating.

Best wishes with everything!

Hi Cindy,

Good to hear from you and really glad to hear you dad is doing so well!! He is lucky to have you as a caregiver! Like the others, I dont know anything about that clinical trial. Wishing you both the best!

Sorry Cindy, I dont know of any one person who is knowledgeable about all the clinical trials that are going on. Brian works with helping to fund different trials so he may know more than anyone else around here. There are just so many different ones at so many locations. There is some general info listed on the main OCF pages.
