I would like to thank all our OCF Military Veterans for their Service to our Great Nation and for their sacrifice they all have given freely for each of us!! Semper-Fi Bob


Bob age 57, non smoker,non drinker, ended treatment on 11 Nov 2007 and started back to work on 29 Nov 2007. Veterans Day 2012 the Battle was lowered, folded, Taps was played and the Flag buried as I am know a 5 year survivor. Semper-FI !!!

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

David R. 65 yr old male non-smoker, light drinker, stage 3 or 4, depending on which doc you ask, scc rt. tonsil, 2 nodes, 7 weeks radiation and chemo. No surgery. Teatment ended 3/20/08. PET scan 8/08 showed no cancer.
And now, as of oct, 2010, caregiver to wife, Linda, with breast cancer.
May, 2013, Linda diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Enuf already.

Brian, since you were a corpsman with a Marine company, didn't they give you a hard time about that long hair? Ya old hippy.

When you're not in the "rear with the gear" no one cares about anything but covering each others asses. As long as you don't half step when someone yells "corpsman up" Marines treat their docs like they were gold.

I know, even a snuffy like me got away with kinda long hair. I remember a young Army lt who almost had a siezure when he encountered me in the bush. It was just me and several of our local RVN militiamen. Gues I was a bit scaggly.

Brian is right we Jarheads worshipped our Doc no matter how he looked because we knew that when the call was given they went "above and beyond" to save their Marines!! Thank you Brian and all the Docs!!! Semper-Fi Bob
