Just curious if anyone knows of a good organization for debt consolidation of medical bills. After the insurance took care of most of my expenses, we are still struggling to pay over $10,000 in medical expenses out of our own pocket. Two of these are through the hospital collections agency with a payment plan set in place but we're having trouble managing those payments. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Here are some links that might be helpful. It doesnt hurt to ask each location that you owe if they can give you a break with the bills. If you dont ask, you dont get. Its worth a shot to at least try to negotiate a discount. Alot of medical facilities have programs for patients who have financial struggles. These facilities many times do not offer these outright, you need to ask. As far as debt consolidation, sorry Im not familiar with those businesses. Maybe try getting a loan thru a credit union or bank. If you own a house, there are a couple options for loans which could be tax deductible.
