If you get the 1 minute oatmeal, use 1 cup milk to 1/2 cup oats, and cook it for about 15-20 minutes over a double-boiler it will be MUCH creamier and taste better! You can make it ahead, and add to protein shakes.

Try taking pills with something slippery like warm milk, or warm water, which is best.
Your throat relaxes with warmth, and position of head relative to throat to help pills slide rather than struggling to force them down will help.
My epiglottis no longer closes properly, and throat/mouth damaged by rad/surgery so have had to find ways to not aspirate foods (all puree).
Glad you are improving, I never will, so do it for me and the rest of us like me.
