I just want too give a shout-out too all nurses working with cancer they are a breed apart their dealing with us when we are at our worst just like one called greg who worked in the rad ward who got me after chemo so i was pretty out of it but not just the great care he gave but also the feeling of care that i felt from this man i will be forever in his debt because that made me not only able to go to rad tx but also not vomit on myself while in my mask so yeah i just had too say this much love and peace.

SCC of tonsil
mets to neck
back teeth out top/bottom
35 rads/3 chemo

Nurses really do deserve a big shout-out for all they do! I hope they realize how valuable is the care they give to their patients. Sometimes it is only a word or a look or a gentle touch, but the compassion comes thru big time and can go a long way in bringing hope and encouragement to those who are desperately in need of it. Some of these great nurses have found their way here and continue sharing their knowledge and experience - and best of all, hope for the better days ahead. Yay! for nurses!!

My RO's nurse was practically as important to my treatment and recovery as the doctor. As a wholly inadequate thank you I made a donation to Planned Parenthood in her name after that Komen flap a few months ago. Least I could do. Oh and champagne too.
