hi, this is Marcee, Dan's wife. the surgery was thursday and took 14 hours. they had a difficult time finding clear margins. he had the peck flap done. one night in ICU and then Monday aft. he was sent to a regular floor. thankfully the dr keep his word and did keep him pain free. however he was very restless. He has been sitting and standing, sitting and standing, then sleep awhile and then do it all over again. his mouth is very swollen and he wants to talk but can't. the dr says he is doing very well. keep us in your prayers and i will update you as i am able. thank you all for the great support you gave him. it helped more than you know. God bless you all.

Hi Dan,
I met a guy yesterday who had the same cancer, same surgery followed by radiation and he has had no recurrence and is a nine year survivor. He looked great, scars were minimal, great attitude, even kept all his teeth, etc. And that was nine years ago when the state of the art wasn't what is is today. I asked him to post in the survivor section. Hang in there buddy!
