I hope for the best and you're in good hands. Looks like they are being thorough which is good. I know you're nervous they will get to the bottom of what's going on. It seems to me when you had the MRI and CT Scan it would have shown up if it was cancer.

SCC. of the left lateral tongue, anterior two thirds, T1 possibly a T2.
Left partial glossectomy, left selective neck dissection 4/21/09. Nodes clean, No Rad, No Chemo.

CT Scan 9/11 clean, CT Scan 9/12 clean

I agree your team sounds good. Irritation and inflammation can light up too. Hopefully this is all it is good luck! And take care!

Thank you all again for your kind & encouraging words!! I had a significant biopsy yesterday under general anesthesia. I was in at 8am & home by 2pm. Initial path reports are clear & they were able to take care of the back molar adhering to my healing tongue!!
I am pretty sore still- but the good news makes it all with it. Radiation will begin in about 10 days. I am nervous- but anxious to get have the finish line in sight!!
