Does anyone here have gum issues fer rads? I'm 5.1 months out - and just wondering - I have a little redness no pain. Kind of along the gum line - the flouride stuff used to burn! They changed the type but it's still unpleasant so I haven't been using it as much as I should though I do use them a least 4 times a week. I do have four veneers in the same area, always have had issues there. But they are much better now, but still just wondering if any of youve had problems... . And what you did? Also I have been eating more crunchier foods too so this may play a role. Thanks.

Cheryl,
Make sure you gently floss between your teeth in that area, even more than once a day. I have a little area that seems to have gotten irritated, and I found that flossing more than once at least until it is stabilized takes care of it.
I know what you mean about the fluoride being irritating, but I think it more likely you have what I have experienced. Especially if you have dental work there--actually my one crown is in that area for me--make sure you get it cleaned out more than once a day for a time (again, don't make it bleed, but if it does spontaneously bleed, that ain't bad at first, just means you cleaned out the inflammation and bacteria) Of course see the dentist if it does not resolve, and especially if it gets any worse than what you describe.

Hi here thanks! I've been careful today - and went back to rinsing with the baking soda and salt and it's almost gone! For the most part - I've got these crunchy crackers I eat with my mock tuna - and I think from biting into them I scratched it a bit but I've always had sensitive gums in that area because of the veneers! Just one more thing to watch out for! The redness has all but gone I also picked up a new toothpaste (very mild!) high flouride content but ph balanced - and a mouthwash that's the same ! smile I like the freshness of mint but not the burn! This has a mint vanilla taste! wink hope you're feeling good.
