Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 3 | First of all, I wish I had found this forum about 9 months ago. It definitely would have helped me get through my illness, which was stage 3 oral pharyngeal cancer ( HPV). Anyway, I was diagnosed in December of 2010 and began 7 weeks of chemo/radiation in early January of 2011. I am now doing well, ready and willing to help anyone that needs it. That's obviously the abridged version, but I would be more than happy to give more details, if anyone is interested. Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
