First of all, I wish I had found this forum about 9 months ago. It definitely would have helped me get through my illness, which was stage 3 oral pharyngeal cancer (HPV).

Anyway, I was diagnosed in December of 2010 and began 7 weeks of chemo/radiation in early January of 2011. I am now doing well, ready and willing to help anyone that needs it.

That's obviously the abridged version, but I would be more than happy to give more details, if anyone is interested. The important thing is that this forum exists to help people get through the difficult physical, emotional and psychological times that accompany oral cancer and I would be more than happy to contribute where needed.

Mike, welcome, welcome. Glad to hear you're doing well and I wish you continued strength and health and healing. The best thing you can do for the forum is to keep yourself well! When you have a moment you also might consider filling out a signature as most of us have done. The examples on this page are good ones of various types. Feel free to include as much or as little information as you like. (go to My Stuff at the top of the page)

Glad to have you as part of the OCF family!
