This is Megan from the OCF office. I have an opportunity for a tobacco related oral cancer patient or survivor to help promote awareness while getting paid and receiving a little 15 minutes of fame too.
Have you ever seen any of the t.r.u.t.h. campaign commercials on tv? Their organization focuses on exposing the tobacco industry to the public.
Well, they asked us to help them with their current campaign to find an oral cancer patient or survivor that would be interested in appearing in the next nation-wide commercial. This is a paid role that will tape Jan 10-14th in LA.
If you do not live in the LA area - they will pay for you to fly out and stay in LA during the taping. In addition, this is a speaking role with the SAG (screen actors guild).
What they are looking for-
Male or Female, 20-55 years old
suffering or has suffered from a tobacco related mouth cancer

[email protected]PS- I know that this must be very difficult to want to do. I understand how this cancer effects those who have it both emotionally and physically. Which is why we need to change that. More people need to be aware of the effects of tobacco on the body in other ways than just lung cancer. Most importantly, more people need to know that oral cancer exists so that they become more proactive in annual screenings! This is a prime opportunity to pull out the positive of what is so painful.
