Another mucoepidermoid survior here. My detail info is in my signature. I agree with feeling very much alone even here since "we" are few and far between. I have to reschedule my test for my 1 year mark as I have a trip I am going to take. Last year I was having radiation instead of enjoying a free vacation in a 5 Star in Vegas. But I still have my daily PET scans from Largo and so far so good.

The one thing I learned was that THEY make statements that we take to heart like, I KNOW I was very lucky, I would never regain any feeling in the area of the surgery. I am just a year past the major surgery and at this moment the entire area feels normal. I do seem to have a progression on the dry mouth not sure why that would happen but small price.

One question of the group. I am using the gel but if I use it every night I have two molars one on the right and one on the left that get to hurting so that I can't eat soft bread. I have gone to limiting the time I use the tray and skipping a night about once a week. Otherwise I am in too much pain to eat. I had
excellent teeth going into this and I tend to heal very fast and better than expected. I contacted the Dental Oncologist but she
didn't have an answer. Any thoughts as to what might be happening?
