In 2004 I had a biopsy that was positive. Had surgery and the Dr. removed 40% of my tongue. About nine moths passed and I started having severe pain in my ears and jaw. A PET scan reveled the cancer was back and it was bad, I glowed in the dark. After Radiation and chemo I have been cancer free for over 5 years, there is hope. I have a checkup every 6 months and just had one.
In 2007 I had 55 radiation treatments for Prostate cancer, to my surprise a pet scan does not show prostate cancer need a PSA.
In 2008 a pet scan showed a 1 1/2 cm spot on my right lung. It was malignant and they removed 25% of my right lung. I am a 71 year old male and cancer free.
