I'm sorry if this post seems very unprepared, but this new diagnosis has taken us by surprise, and the cancer seems to be very aggressive. I was wondering if anyone else out there has had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma? This was caught with a very small PET hot spot on the iliac bone (back) and back pain. His white blood count and platelets are low. See below for more details. Tomorrow he gets a bone marrow sample and lots of bloodwork. Monday a CT scan, and then some time next week we'll have his staging, prognosis and treatment plan.
This board was an amazing source of information when DH was in treatment 3 years ago - I'm still so grateful to all of you who post and reply here.
Thanks for letting me share.

So sorry to hear about your husband new Dx! I had Non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1991 when I was 28. *VERY* aggressive which, apparently, made it more treatable. I went into a research trial of "high dose CHOP" with neupogen, which was brand-spanking new back then, went through 12-weeks of hell, mostly in the hospital, but made it through. I was declared cured in 1995 and its never come back. I have, however, had other health issues (clearly!) but no one has ever been willing to tie that illness or treatment to any of the health issues I've had since.

Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear that things went well for you. It looks like he'll be starting chemo within 7-10 days.

It turned out not to be but in the course of discussing it the MO said many forms are very treatable. Hang in there and keep us posted.

DH was admitted to the hospital this afternoon - he has "ALL" which is treatable but aggressive. He starts chemo tomorrow, and will be in the hospital for 2-4 weeks.
