This site was a live saver for me. I lost my username from before so had to start a new one. I was wondering if I should be concerned that my husband has just started to have a nagging cough. He says it feels just like something gets caught but nothing bad. He has been done with treatments since April of 2007. He just had his last check up and chest scan in June and all was good so he was put on once a year apts. But I am worried about this cough. He was a stage 4 base of tongue. He had 40 Rad treatments and chemo. Just looking for imput on this matter. I am just concerned. But don't want to worry him or nag him to much. He has had the cough for about 2 weeks | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Two weeks is a long time to have the cough. I would get an appointment with the family doc to check him out. Then if necessary he could be referred to a specialist. I agree with Christine with the appointment with family doc - maybe he just needs some antibiotics to nip in the butt.
