The natural part of me that assumed the worst was afraid my treatment would either: 1. Not allow me to attend my daughter's high school graduation or 2. Have everybody thinking about me rather than the graduate. Today, Sydney graduated from high school with Mom in attendance, and the big C wasn't mentioned once!

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

My oldest daughter graduates on May 31st and I too am really happy to be able to be there. Kim and Dave are travelling to Houston for Dave's daughter's graduation on the same date and I am looking forward to finally meeting them.
