My husband (64) was diagnosed with SCC of right mandibular alveolar ridge (T4N0Mx), had free-flap surgery at the Univ. of Michigan on 12/09 (took his fibula and turned it into his jaw), then 6 weeks of radiation. He has been cancer free since then but recently had a biopsy of a leukoplakia on the same side of the mouth as the cancer. It came back as a keritoses with mild dysplasia. This has us worried, but the surgeon says he rarely removes spots with mild dysplasia. Does anyone else have experience with this?
