I woke up this morning to grey gums in the front of my mouth. I went to a dentist today and he had no idea what it could be even after I told him my history. This is not my normal dentist as he is out of town and the dentist I went to is the one he refers to when he is out of town. None of my other Drs are in the office today. Is it normal for the gums to turn grey and be painful. I am going to see my regualr dentist next week, but I am afraid I am going to lose a tooth before that as it is really lose. I also called a periodontist and they are going to tryo to get me in next week. Unfortunately I am limited when I can go because I am giving tests all week. Anyway any ideas?

I did a "search" and there were quite a few entries concerning grey "tongue," possibly associated with circulation problems. Maybe the grey gums is something like the grey tongue? Check it out.

Went to after hours clinic today and the Dr. there said that my RO needed to take a look at it ASAP. He did not like the way it looked, and wrote me a script for antibiotics in case it was an infection, but none of the pharmacies can fill it until Monday. ARGH!! I will seeing the RO on Monday anyway so I will just have to wait and see what he says.

Don't you have a CVS, Target, Walgreens, Costco etc. in your area? I know all their pharmacies are open on weekends in NJ and some other states. There is always the emergency ward if all else fails.

I do, but they do not make the liquid tetracyclene.

There are several other antibiotics that come in liquid form. I had taken one for about 2 months before I got the IV antibiotics. Anyway, are you ok to swallow pills? Dont forget that when you are thinking about having your PEG tube removed. Can you call the doc and have them write something else? It would save you from having to wait a few days to start meds.

Who knows. My oncologist will be back in his office Monday and I will probably go see him as soonas school is out. Yeah I was thinking about having my tube out, but I think I will wait until I find out what is going on with my teeth as the greying is spreading, and the ear pain has come back.

Its a very odd symptom. I get a grey tongue every once in a while and its due to circulation issues and when Im cold. Weird, I can eat soft serve ice cream without a problem. Hope you find out what is causing this.

Well that grey part of my gum just fell off today after burshing my teeth. Underneath it was pink, but not sure if it going to turn again or not. Leave it to me to get all the streng symptoms that no one else has had.

LOL, mystery solved, but I am going to have surgery to repair my gums so I do not lose my teeth. The grey gum thing was a reaction to some desensitizer the dentist put on my teeth. The Periodontist did say that my gums are receding due to the rads. He said that if I wanted to save those teeth i would need some surgery done on them. Finally got to someone that knew what he was talking about. I got back in 4 weeks and we will schedule surgery then. I have already talked to my RO, and waiting to hear back about what I do for surgeries.
