Hi there, i'm really down today. in May 2008 i was diagnosed stage 1 soft palate. i had surgery, and every 2 months i was sent back to MD Anderson for ultrasounds and visits to watch teh recovery. everything was wonderful. in july 2009, i got my 1 year - doing great. only need visits every 6 months. since july - for grins i had an endoscopy in September. i had them look at my stomach, thorat and colon. (was having acid reflux). all was good, told to take prilosec each day.

4 weeks ago i had a dental apt. wlth the surgy i have had, he was totally aware fo my issues.

last nite i foudn a BIG blister like thing under my tongue. had it bipsied today. they put a scope thru my nose and into my throat. he says he see's 2 spots back in my throat. wy wouldn't my endoscopy seen that 6 weeks ago?

i'm rambling. i'm really scared. no need to reply. just glad i could speak.

thank you,
julie

Wow Julie. That does sound scary, but try to remember that you have been diligent about follow up, so should there be something it is most likely at a very early stage. Remember July 2009 isn't that long ago.

Maybe someone else can respond re reliability of an endescopy - there are many here who have had that procedure (maybe I have too and don't remember?).

Try to stay calm. Perhaps what they are seeing is nothing. It is't cancer till they say it is.

Let us know how things go. We're here for you.

Hi Honey- Hang in there. See what the results are and hopefully it isn't anything that won't just go away or can be taken care of with treatments. Try and remain calm. Thinking of you!
