This will make you laugh.

My wife, my caregiver, my savior, who goes by Chef Jo Gonzalez on HSN, the Food Network and regular TV, was on our CBS affiliate Thursday and if you want to see something funny, watch the link below.

Notice her tapping the shoulder of the 1st Host coming from the left side of the screen at the very beginning. The Host had just introduced my wife as Jo Fernandez. The Host was reading from the teleprompter and it was a mistake as you will see. This was the 2nd time she had used Fernandez, the first being about 20 seconds before in a promo commercial before the Hosts moved to her set. I was trying to get the producers attention but my wife was not willing to wait. What's funnier is the remarks and gesters she was making to the audience off screen and you can only see the Hosts' reactions to some of her comments in the background. This was a live show with a live audience. Enjoy.

Dave, that was SO awesome! I love seeing members of everyones families, it just makes me feel like I "know" everyone better!

I was never one to cook nor enjoy cooking before my diagnosis. Now, you can't keep me out of the kitchen. I wish I had found my love for it when I was younger BUT better late then never!
Your wife was FANTASTIC and I am buying her book and trying some of those recipes out.
Take care,
Minnie

Hello David. LOL

I thought it was thing from The Adams Family! The ladies expressions from your wifes gestures were PRICELESS!

I sent my brother the link. He lives on Treasure Isle exactly 6.7 miles from Habana Cafe. He has not responded yet but when he does I'll have him and his g-friend Debbie come in for dinner. And he likes a cuban cigar now and then but does not smoke cigs.
Maybe you can get him to hook you up with some people at FOX13 in Tampa. He's pretty high up on the ladder in the sports department as he has been there almost 30 years. He's been to more Super Bowls than I have NFL games. I'll e-mail you his info later.

Hey David,

I had a strange feeling we were close to eachother. Its amazing how many people on forums and elsewhere on the net are from this area! The Cadillac forum Im on has an overwheliming majority of members from around here and we have meets all the time.

Kind of strange for a 24 year old guy, but Ive been a fan of shopping channels ever since I was a little kid... One day I might go take a tour of the HSN studios if they have it anymore... will look out for your wife when I watch next time!

Looks like my ENT appointment is June 7th with a Dr. Patricia something or other in or near the St. Joseph complex on MLK. I dont have my insurance website handy here at home so I dont remember the exact name. If you have any recommendation for a good ENT in the area I will certainly try it out. Otherwise Im going to keep trying to get a sooner appointment. Based on what Im seeing in there Im not very optimistic at the moment (dont know how fast this stuff is supposed to grow but Im seeing alot of strange things back there), but we will see how it turns out I suppose.

Ian.

Hi David, Loved the Video. its funny but my husband watches all the cooking shows on TV. I asked him why do you torture yourself and he says the food looks good but he doesn't have to smell it. and it helps him remember what it taste like. Go figure!!

Hi David,

You sure have a right to be proud. That was a great piece and please tell Jo what's-her-name congratulations on her successful cookbook from me.

And BTW, I wouldn't suggest openning bottles with your teeth!!!

I LOVED IT...And was truley impressed with your wife ....she is such a spitfire and now I AM GOING TO BUY her cookbook! I love to cook ..I never ate to much mexican food as I didnt like Spicy , but my mom got remarried to a man who is of mexican decent and since I have been able to eat "authentic" mexican food I have learned to like it and realized it isnt all spicy ..So I would love to read her book and try her recipes...I already thought of her as a wonderful person for standing by you through all....BUT WOW !! she is a wonderfully stong and motivational and inspirational woman isnt she ? Thanks for sharing David !
