They put a skin graft there to keep it shallow I thought but it must have come off. This hole collects food and plaque apparently. I bought a water pic so I could pressure wash this void in the base of my mouth. Amazing at the little bits of food that rinsed out.
Now when I look in there with an LED light I see a hole that is pretty deep and it has turned black or dark gray at the bottom and appears to run up my gum to a tooth I tend to bite down on alot making it sore. I see my surgeon on Tuesday. For my first post Tx follow up. I hope he can explain this with out imposing another round of punishment to my mouth.

Any idea when you might hear the results? Until you do, keep very busy and don't let cancer steal the "waiting days". It has already stolen far too much from us all.

This one covers it all and it's from the 50s. This song was played on a troop ship from Japan to the US and one that didn't grit the nerves when it was played for maybe the 20th time. LOL I can still hear it but can't find it anywhere.

I was supposed to start work today but the disabilty company had not processed the paperwork for me to come back part time. I was surprised by my boss bgeing there since he works out of Texas. I am in Virginia. I decided to continue to be 100% upfront with him and told him about the biopsy. Now the good part:
We talked a little about religon and I explained how I just could not find any thing to believe in. I have been trying and reading all sorts of stuff for years, not just since cancer. To make a detailed story a little less detailed he actually explained some Christian concepts to me that made a lot of sense. I was totally surprised by what he was saying to me. He took the time this morning and showed me how to give myself to Jesus and how to pray to God. We prayed or he led me in through a prayer to god on behalf of Jesus.
This subject is difficult for me to discuss because I have been dangling in search of some kind of faith and spirituality. Today I left work of all places feeling like I now have a connection or starting point for finding my faith. Gifts are sometimes wrapped in unusual wrapping paper....

The music was written by Jack Mullan, the lyrics by Jack Richards. Best selling records were made by Al Hibbler (reaching #4 on the Billboard charts) and The McGuire Sisters (reaching #10 on the Billboard charts) in 1955. A later version by The Righteous Brothers reached #18 in 1966. Tammy Wynette did this song if it is the right one. You can hear it here: http://www.metrolyrics.com/he-lyrics-tammy-wynette.htmlLyrics by Al Hibbler He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea He alone decides who writes a symphony He lights ev'ry star that makes the darkness bright He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer Saint or sinner calls and always finds him there Though it makes him sad to see the way we live He'll always say "I forgive" He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold He knows every lie that you and I have told Though it makes him sad to see the way we live He'll always say "I forgive" He forgives

Also I would ask if he thinks that the water pik is a good idea. I'm not sure that it is, as the pressure may be making the hole deeper.

An ulcer is living there in the surgery area. My doctor biopsied it Tuesday and it came back negative for Cancer. Since the biopsy I am in a tremendous amount of pain. The doctor prescribed the 5 -500 vicadins. The pain is so bad that I just called the doctor on call and asked if I could drive 2 hours to see him for real pain relief. Last night they upped the vicaden to 7.5 - 500. No help. I have taken 2 30mg morphine, 2 7.5 vicaden, 2 percosets trying to get ahead of the pain and nothing is working. My jaw is swollen around the area and the gum looks like dark red bruise spots are on it leading to the surgical pit in my mouth. The doc from last nights call said the ulcer is non- infectious. All I know is that saturday I was barely taking pain meds and now I am counnting the clock for the next dose. The current doc on duty has suggested I go to the emergency room if taking two more vicadens doesn't help in 3 hours or so. OR manage till the pharmacy opens for some anti-imflamatory drugs. OK.... I'm done. Sorry but it is less painful when I am boring everyone with my complaints. Kidding . I have called my GP describing this, they called my cancer doc who did not call back after leaving a message saying they would, but no one seems to want to look at this as if something else might be wrong. Everyone is assuming someone else knows what to do .
