I can't believe I missed this. Carol, please tell Jim that I'm thinking of him, I'm sending good vibes & prayers his way, & I am looking forward to when he's back on the OCF forum, making me laugh - and think - with his great messages. He's a fighter, & I wish him the best during this latest and difficult round.

Marginal mandibulectomy 6/17/08 resulted in DX of Stage I SCC - gingiva (3 mm) right mandible, buccal side. Clear margins. Occasional social drinker. Smoked last cigarette in 1979. Clear pet: 12/08; 7/20/09. Yay!

Well, he's home. He went to his daughter's house, but now, he's at his house. I'm sure he'll be on here soon. You just can't keep a good man down. lol Carol

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

cg to husband, 48 Stage 1V head and neck SCC. First surgery 9/07. Radiation and several rounds of chemo followed. Mets to chest and lungs. "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." Went home to God on February 22, 2009.

Colleen--T-2N0M0 SCC dx'd 12/28/05...Hemi-maxillectomy, partial palatectomy, neck dissection 1/4/06....clear margins, neg. nodes....no radiation, no chemo....Cancer-free at 4 years!

I talked to him, yesterday. He was having alot of pain in his tongue, so we didn't talk very much. He said he hadn't heard anything about the biopsies, yet, but as soon as he does, he'll let me know. So, if he doesn't get back on here pretty soon, and tell you himself, I'll update you all. Have a blessed day. Carol
