I know you have to be on someones back to take care of this problem. I wish you the best and hope that soon , you can get something done about this. For sure someone would get no rest as I would be on their back.

I am surprised that your doctors haven't helped in this matter, especially since it has been so long. There are many things that can be done. My doc gave me some tongue depressors and told me to try a small stack at a time wrapped in a rubber band to gradually stretch my mouth by adding a new depressor as my mouth relaxed more. This method is cheaper than the Dyna Splint and other devices that have to be ordered by your doctor or dentist. You could also ask to be evaluated by a speech therapist. Also, stretching exercises by opening wide and holding for a count of 15 secs, then closing to rest for 5 secs, then repeat about 10 times. Do this about 3-4 times a day. that helped me too. In the beginning, just after my treatments, I could only get 1 1/2 fingers in my mouth, and now I can get three (which is the goal). I must say that none of my docs warned me about the Trismus. Although they are all good doctors, I am very disappointed in them for that. They should have told me to start exercising my mouth from the very beginning
Nine years out. New normal with limitations, but surviving and living life to the fullest.
