Hi,

My partner who is 9 months out of treatment for tonsil cancer with lymph involvement (6.5 weeks of radiotherapy and weekly chemo no neck dissection) has started to experience bad headaches and pains in the neck on the same side as the cancer and treatment. He woke up last night in agony. Naturaly I am very concerned.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Cathy

If I rememebr right, the sinus cavities have caused quite a few headaches after treatment for a lot of us. Has he asked his Dr about this?

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Thanks. Fortunately we have a consultant's appointment this week so will be able to ask. I want to see if we can demand a scan if the headaches continue but it ain't so easy this side of the pond.

Hey cathy
nice to see you here for a change lol.As you say demanding things in the UK doesn't quite work does it? I have often been envious of our friends here who can access doctors and treatment so much easier than we can ,but i dont envy them their bills or insurance costs!!!! I hope you get some answers to the headache problem have you asked about trigeminal neuralgia?Rob had it and bell and paul had a real problem with it.
