I have been counting up everyday and now I can finally start counting down! My neck is becoming very red and sensitive! Thank God I pretty much shave my head because I have 3 quarter size bald spots on the back of my head...lol! Just a quick update, still eating as much as i can possibly handle. I noticed myself getting nasious for about 3 days but felt really good today. Got up this morning and played some tennis, I am looking at all the sweating and exercise as buring out all the bad toxins in my body! Then of course I took a 2 hour nap! That might not sound like a big deal but I NEVER take naps! I have a couple sores on my tongue and my throat is pretty sore to swallow and eat but all in all I think I am still doing pretty well. I got the humidifier on thursday and it made a huge difference in the morning when I wake up. My throat is still very dry and sore but not near as bad as it was! I starting to take percocet about 2 times a day (5/325) by mouth late last week to make myself a little more comfortable thru out the day! Back to the Grind tomorrow! I started on July 1st at 198.8 and weighed in this morning at 194.5! Not to bad...no feeding tube either! Hope you all had a great weekend!

You are young so will have an easier time than most. Are you getting chemo too? Seems like the people who dont get chemo w/ rad also get thru it easier. Hang in there, things might get difficult at anytime. Being prepared never is a bad thing. Keep up the good work Kenny, hang in there. Of your mouth is bad, ask for magic mouthwash, its a real lifesaver. Talk to your docs about the peg tube. Hope things level out for you. That's great and I hope this easy time continues. It was this week where things started to go south for me but I also got my 2nd big bag of poison on the start of my 4th week and that's when my nausea started and things just started to get out of control but of course I was almost twice your butt's age. lol
Playing tennis??? No comment.

Up until then I was reading people's posts and thinking to myself how lucky I was that it seemed so easy. The last three weeks were very tough. As it's supposed to. And I was told I was handling it all beautiffully.
Good luck, Jim. It's awesome you're tolerating things so well. You're more than 1/2 way there!

Since then I haven't played to much because my overhead shot is unstable and not predictable.

I usually serve low but the walls were damp from the dew...obviously it was an outdoor double tournament! The pop was so loud the people on the other court heard it! That is some serious pain! Of course I need surgery to repair it and never did it!

I was given the option of an additional surgery where my doc said he would take a nerve from my leg THAT I DON'T NEED (don't you just love it when they say that?) and TRY to find the severed nerve and TRY to splice it together. Told me the rehab would be twice as long (appx 4 months 1st time) and said he gave me a 50% chance of success. YEAH RIGHT!!
Know what you mean about dew on a RB court. I tried to sneak on a closed, unairconditioned court in Fl and I had to jump down on the court to let my partner in so I hung from the viewing window and dropped down. Didn't think it was that far but when I hit the floor it was damp with dew and my feet slid out from beneath me and I landed on my TAIL...WHAM. Man was I sore. We didn't even play because everything was to slick.
