My dad this past Thursday had his partial glossectomy and neck dissection completed.

Both the removal and reconstruction went well. The surgeons we had were great and the care hes gotten so far has been wonderful.

My dad was pretty rough the first few days. But now hes up and walking a little and is covering his trach and trying to talk lol

The only thing he hates is the trach. Im hoping its out soon enough for his sake!

It is good news that everything went smoothly. Here's to hoping for continued improvement.

That's good news, John. Glad he got through it and that the care has been so positive. Although your dad went through a much tougher go than I, I can sympathize with the trach issue! I had one for about a week and couldn't wait for them to take it out. But it'll happen and then he'll be on the road. What's next for him - rads, chemo?

Keep us posted and ask any and all questions you can think of.

Thanks David.

Once we get the pathology from the Lymph's we will know the next course of action. They wanted to do RADs no mater what though.
