Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 26 | I am now 6 months out and have all good news to report. My PET scan was done at the 11 week mark and it came back completely clear, complete resolution of tumor. Yesterday I just had my 6 month MRI scan which also came back completely clear. Along with the scan the Stanford team also did a complete visual inspection with the scope and all was clear as well. I can't tell you how happy my wife and I are today, but always in the back of our heads is knowing that the battle isn't 100% finished so it's really hard to get too excited. One test at a time I guess. I just thought I would pass on the good news, especially for those of you who are going through treatment or have just come out of treatment, hold your head up high and stay positive!!

2/14/14--Finished 36 rad treatments
2/18/14--Finished 8 cetuximab infusions-completion of treatment
4/26/2014--MRI showed marked tumor regression
5/27/2014--PET clear
8/18/2014--MRI clear
2/22/2015--MRI clear

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
