I am not clear about giving OCF credit when ordering from Amazon. Do we just use the link on the Forums page and make our order after we log into our private accounts?

Go thru the Amazon link right on the main forum pages. Just click on the green box. Do your shopping and it will automatically give a small kickback to OCF.

Thank you for helping support OCF, Steve!

Just remember that EVERY TIME YOU ENTER AMAZON YOU HAVE TO DO SO FROM THE OCF LINK. Amazon does not remember you. What I do is that once I have entered Amazon through the link, I drag the url down to my browser bar, (it's really long) and then I rename it just Amazon. Now when I want to buy something there I don't have to come to OCF to get the link, I have it right on my browser navigating bar as a favorite. When you log into Amazon look at the address

http://www.amazon.com/?ie=UTF8&...mp;link_code=hom&tag=oralcancfoun-20

If you don't see the oralcancfoun-20 then OCF will not get the about 5.5% we are currently getting on everything that you buy. (At Xmas, because so many people use the OCF link, we get as much as 7% because the volume is up.) All this costs the buyer NOTHING, but the decision to use our link. It helps the foundation pay for the things that most donors don't want to have their $ go to; phone bills, copy paper, and the like.

I have my OCF link to Amazon bookmarked as Amazon/OCF and I always use that when using Amazon for purchases. I also check every time to make sure the "oralcancfoun" portion of the link appears on the Amazon page. You can get so many things online at Amazon and often much cheaper that running to the stores. In addition if you are a "Prime" customer, you can share the "Prime" advantage with several other friends or family members and can avoid shipping charges (even if they have different addresses!) on anything "Prime". My son has "Prime" which he pays a fee for each year but this allows me and several of his family and friends to share "Prime" advantage. The savings in shipping charges far outweighs the yearly cost of getting "Prime" status. Now all that money you have saved on shipping (when you didn't even have to pay for Prime because your family/friend already did - can make it a lot easier for you to donate to OCF.
And that's a good thing. smile

I named mine OFC AMAZON and I keep it right under OFC FORUM on my favorites list and it helps me remember to use it when purchasing from Amazon.

Brian

I don't suppose there has been any discussion about receiving credit from devices that do not support the link? For example, we have an Amazon Prime account and order movies and TV on our Roku and Blu-Ray player.

If it were possible to link an account for all purchases on all devices, I would think that would help OCF immensely.

Just a thought

Thanks for your suggestion. There is no way for us to earn money if you are already a Prime customer. There is a promotion that if you sign up for a free trial OCF will get a referral fee. Please use the link below. Feel free to share with your friends and family. Thank you!

Brian, Chester:

Saw this on LifeHacker yesterday:

Is this similar to what y'all already have in place??

Thanks Kevin, that's great I'll give AmazonSmile a go as it looks like I can do it through the UK Amazon website (I do a lot of Amazon shopping). The contribution is only 0.5% which is not as good as the 5.5% Brian says above.

Brian, is there anyway the setup for the 5.5% could be arrange for the other Amazon country websites?
