He confirmed that the pain, nausea, fatigue etc could be from scar tissue, and from all of the radiation, long after 2 years. He checked inside his mouth and used the torch light up his nose to check the base of his tongue...all good. He said Rod was doing extremely well and that after his 3 year mark next July, he would go onto 6 monthly appts. Rod now happier and excited about getting his falsies next week......Thank you all for your love & support...Jeanna xxxx

I to am from Australia. My husband Bruce completed treatment 31/3/10 for Tonsil Cancer. Just wondering when you say falsies I assume that's false teeth. We have been looking into implants and go to Sydney next week regarding Hyperbaric treatment. We were told that false teeth would not be an option due to radiation damage. Any information would be great.

If your hubby has had all his teeth removed, and is not long out of treatment, I wouldn't consider it an option at this point. Does he have a peg? I can give you some info via medicare & free treatment,.....I was refering to false teeth, but the gums have to be in really good condition....contact me personally, will fill you in....hope all else ok xxxx

You must be very relieved. The side effects do tend to keep giving don't they. But the way we look at it is that Steve is alive which is wonderful, so we can deal with everything else. Hope Rod enjoys his Macca's

Pain in the hands, radiotherapy. Pain in the knee, radiotherapy. Tingling in the hair, radiotherapy. Sometimes it feels like they used it as an excuse because they don't have an answer.

I am very familiar with the hyperbaric oxygen treatments (HBO). Ive done 125 of them. I love HBO!!!! It works wonders for me. Several occasions I had problems healing and did HBO and it worked, I healed.
I am in the same boat as your husband. I am not a candidate for implants or false teeth. Radiation damaged my teeth so much that they became loose and crooked. I was afraid they would just fall right out they got so bad. So I did the Marx Protocol of 20 HBO before teeth being pulled and 10 after. While I was healing from having my teeth removed, I had a recurrence and then a huge surgery to remove my lower jaw. Due to complications, I am not unable to ever get any type of working teeth. One dental specialist advised me that I may possibly be able to get a top denture for appearance only. I also suffer from trismus which makes any type of dental work nearly impossible.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I hope this info has been helpful to you. Just remember we are all different and will respond to procedures and medications in our own way. What happened to me may not be anything even close to what your husband will encounter.
Best wishes to your husband with his continued recovery. Good luck with the teeth!!!!
