Hello everyone. I had co2 laser surgery early this year for dysplasia. I healed well and everything is fine now but an area which was treated by the laser still seems to have some granulated tissue there after almost 7 months. It's merely annoying and not a big deal but was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Thanks
Hi Jeff! Most members here have not had dysplasia before they were diagnosed with OC. Id guess less than 10% of our members are here due to starting with dysplasia. We do have a few members who have not had oral cancer (OC) and were here as a result of dysplasia or other non cancerous diagnosis but those members are few and far between. Best thing to do is check in with your doc who has done your surgery and who is taking care of you. The doc should be able to check your file to ensure this patch is not the dysplasia regrowing or if it was the original dysplasia. Not that the why behind this is overly important if you want it removed.

Best wishes with everything!
