Of course, meatloaf means leftovers so it's been 3 nights in a row and now I'm ready to try something else, like maybe, HAMBURGER and mashed potatoes and gravy, lol.

Its always so rewarding when you manage to eat a new food. Im jealous too. I havent had a real meal in about 2 years and Im starving everyday. Everyday I eat baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, and baked beans of course each item is mashed. I load the potatoes with sour cream and butter, its good food but not the same as pizza or a steak. First bite way better than no bites.....right?
I found that if I drank something after my first bite taste went south and waited a minute +/- that I could get that first bite taste to come back, almost like my tongue had to reset itself.

But, everyday I drive past Celestino's Real New York Pizza (which a friend of mine who is of Italian heritage and from New Jersy says is the real deal) and it's torture. Meanwhile, I'm trying more foods (with lots of gravy) and getting off my dependence on Ensure.

Don't give up hope yet. I was 24 months post and I still felt I noticed an improvement in both taste and saliva. I remember writing about the improvements I recognized and they came at 4 months, 5 months, 15 months and 24 months. I'm sure it was recovering all along but for some reason those are the months I realized or recognized improvements.

I just dont think I could bring myself to eat that. I was always very fussy with my food. As a kid I couldnt even eat food if it touched something else on the plate. I ate out of several seperate bowls everyday. Guess thats why Im still so picky now even when Im so limited.
