I think it's a good idea at this point to see an oral (maxilofacial) surgeon. If the roof of your mouth is symetrical, that is is a good sign.

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.

Just a quick update. still waiting to see an oral surgeon and I just found out my nana has Stomach cancer. so far 2010 sucks frown
