When I first came to OCF I found lots of ideas on how to de-stress at home or in doctor's offices while waiting. I did lots Sudoku puzzles, read all the office magazines, even knit slippers. In the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep, it was either OCF and/or Sudoku. I was also trying to figure out what all those cancer abbreviations meant and put together all the OCF posts I read that had the glossary terms and uploaded them to a web site that I've just started. I also made a couple of puzzles to go along with the glossary list so that anyone interested might de-stress with a puzzle and learn some cancer terms at the same time. So, for anyone interested, here's my website (under construction) and the puzzles:
http://webpages.charter.net/xila
http://webpages.charter.net/xila/ocpuzzle.html #1
http://webpages.charter.net/xila/ocpuzzle.html #2
#2 is much easier than #1 and has a background picture of my son in his radiation table gear.

Anne-Marie- your brain is way more alert than mine laugh I visited all of the above puzzles and just said " Go to It Lady". Good for you for finding something different to do in this situation. Your puzzles should be in the "How to get throught it" Book. Amy in the Ozarks

Thanks so much for your comments. If anyone has other ideas for puzzles that might help relax or de-stress us or just bring a smile, I'd be happy to put them together. I used to make them in French and Spanish as learning strategies for my students. smile

I was reading the OCF sites section on Diagnosis at:
http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/diagnosis/index.htm and found such a wealth of info I decided to do one more puzzle, using the terms in "Diagnosis". Just go to - http://webpages.charter.net/xila/puzzle3.html if you happen to be in a puzzle mood. smile
