This is really a request for information so that if the opportunity arises I can feel like I am doing my bit towards raising awareness of our plight. I work for County Govt and one of my co-workers has managed to get them to consider a change in sick leave policy by allowing fellow workers to donate days to my sick bank and not drastically reduce my income. This has attracted the attention of our local friend in cable news and he plans to run a story on this change and my plight. Is there a media pack I can use so that he can at least have the facts on head and neck cancer from our perspective.

I will send you an OCF press kit if you email me your mailing address. I would also be pleased to talk with you at your convinience to see that you understand the existing politics of the Oral Cancer issue, and why early detection of a disease, mostly visible to the naked eye in its early survivable states, is rountinely 66% of the time not found then, but as a late stage killer.

Hi Paul
I also live in Rochester NY and I am on this forum due to my mom having base of tongue cancer. If I can be of any help with the press on this issue-let me know. Prior to being a stay at home mom for my kids I worked in print media in the rochester area and still have my connections. Good Luck
Tami

Thank you, Brian Package received.
I have been notified the County and CSEA Union have an agreement to allow employees donate vacation or sick time to my bank to delay the time until my pay will be cut in half. This is a wonderful gesture. It is my understanding that cable news station RNews are aware and will seek to report this story. I hope they will at least take the opportunity to raise awareness of this disease. I will update when I know more.
