The doctors are going to try Peg Intron Sch 54031 on David before surgery (which is scheduled for the end of the month). He will have one injection per week for 3 weeks. I don't really know what this is - even though I have read what is available on the net about it. They said the chemo he previoiusly underwent (that literally almost killed him, causing a blood clot and other complications)actually caused him harm and did no good. (This was at what I will refer to as "the other place").
I am glad he is in good hands, but so sorry for all the unnecessary suffering he has had to go through for 8 months now. frown
Is anyone familiar with peg intron sch 54031?

Never mind about the peg ntron. It would basically be for research reasons and his doctor doesn't want to put him through it at this point. Surgery is still on for Jan. 31st.
You are all in my thoughts.

Tonya,
Are they replacing your brothers jaw with a bone from his leg?
