Got the results from the secound larangoscopy. The surgeon who will do the actual operation went into my throat and put his hands onto the tumor, so to speak. Told me he is confident that he can surgically remove it and get clean margins. The operation is scheduled for the 17th of Nov. I now need to decide where to have him get the tissue from to replace what is removed, he can take it from my wrist or from my chest. I'm thinking my wrist is where I want to go but woould like some feedback from people who have had thhis done to know the pros and cons of these two areas. Any other feedback, do's or dont's are also welcome.

Thanks for the support from everyone smile

Hi Ronnie,
What kind of surgery you are having? Do they need a vein or artery? I think if they take a vein they have to also take skin from another area to cover the first area. I fortunately did not need any, but I think one of the areas they suggested besides the wrist or chest was my back. I also was offered the psossibility of cadaver skin to cover the original area. Like I said, I got lucky and they didn't need to do any of it.

Take care,
Eileen
