This acronym has taken on new meaning - Dissection Day!

Tomorrow is the day for my mother. Right-side neck dissection- all levels of her neck. This has been referred to as a cake-walk and that's what I have conveyed to my mom - but there are always those surprises. I know she is a bit apprehensive - and so am I. Me probably for more selfish reasons - I'll have to tend to the aftermath.

Just hoping that the group will send some collective good wishes and keep positive thoughts for her.

Thanks!

Cynthia

Cynthia,

It goes without saying our best wishes are with you and your Mom. She'll handle this as well as she has everything else.

Actually the other day when I was trying on wigs and made a comment about my surgery the girl looked at me shocked and commented she hadn't noticed it!!! Truth or not it made me feel better because I just know it's the first thing people look at.

Hope all goes well and she has a speedy recovery. Keep us posted.

Take care,
Dinah
