I read an article the other day on an oral rinse tested for the presence of P16 as and indication of potential recurrence for those HPV+ P16 patients.
It sounded to be pretty indicative. ~100 patients, 5 with indications on the rinse, same 5 had recurrences.
Has anyone else read about this? Anyone had the procedure done?
John
I've read them John, here, and elsewhere, a while ago, with updates recently, but I've never had the rinse or blood work, and still need to have one of my biopsies tested for HPV anyway. From the top of my head, this seems to be from ongoing studies or is part of it, with John Hopkins Dr Califano, in addition too others, some were with blood tests too, for better accuracy. to predict HPV HNC recurrence. I have many of the articles, most of which are on OCF anyway, that seem to come out when there are different head and neck cancer symposiums.

A couple of us saw these at a dental convention in Dallas back in August. The vendor offered to do one for free for both of us, but never came back.
